The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a global gathering of Scouts and Guides from every corner of the world.

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young people to join thousands of others from around the world to build international friendships, discover new cultures, take part in an inspiring programme of activities and cultural exchange and create unforgettable memories!
The 26th World Scout Jamboree will take place from the 30 July to the 8 August 2027 and will be hosted in Gdańsk, Poland.
We’re looking for Scouts and Explorer Scouts to represent Northumberland Scouts at the next World Scout Jamboree.
Interested in taking part?
To take part as a Youth Participant for Northumberland Scouts, you must
- Be a member of The Scouts in Northumberland Scout county
- Be aged 14 to 17 during the Jamboree. This means they should have been born between 30 July 2009 and 30 July 2013.
- Apply to register your interest via our form and attend a full day selection event on either Saturday 22 November or Sunday 23 November – you will only be expected to attend one day
- If selected, attend and engage with preparation weekends in the run up to the jamboree
- If selected, commit to paying a £500 deposit – the date by which this is required will be confirmed on the selection days. More information on costs will be provided in our roadshow events
Applications close 5th November 2025.
How to register your interest
If you’re a Scout or Explorer Scout in Northumberland Scouts and you are interested in attending the Jamboree, you should complete our registration form before the closing date of 5 November 2025.
Scouts and Explorers should check with parents/carers before completing this form and should also seek assistance if needed.
Completing and submitting this form does not commit anyone to attending the Jamboree and does not guarantee you a place. Once we’ve received your form and the closing date has passed, you will be invited to attend a selection day on either Saturday 22 November or Sunday 23 November 2025.
In the form we ask for a little bit more information about you. We’d like you to pick one (or more!) of these questions to answer and you can answer either by video or as a written answer – whichever you find more comfortable:
- Why do you want to go to the World Scout Jamboree?
- What do you think you’ll bring to the Unit?
- What are you most excited or nervous about?
