Following on from the success of this years County D of E Expeditions we have agreed dates for next year.
· Bronze Training Event – Late afternoon Saturday 29th April to late afternoon on Monday 1st May
· Silver Practice – Early morning of Saturday 29th April to late afternoon on Monday 1st May
· Bronze Qualifying Expedition – Early morning of Saturday 3rd June to late afternoon on Sunday 4th June
· Silver Qualifying Expedition – Early morning of Friday 2nd June to late afternoon on Sunday 4th June
We will again try to facilitate anyone requiring a Gold Practice or Gold Qualifying by joining them with other Units.
It is unlikely that we will offer any hybrid expeditions next year.
Although we will offer support to any Leaders that require it as we will need Leaders to carry out more of the Training and Preparation to make sure that their Young People are expedition ready. To that end we will run a Navigation Training Event in the Autumn of 2022 for any Leader who would like to join us. Let Clive know if this is of interest and we will arrange the dates around those who want to attend. We can also offer Leader training or support around any other aspect of the Expedition Training Syllabus. Just ask!
Key Dates:
By 31st 0ct 2022 – Confirm which Units are joining us and likely numbers for each level.
By 31st Jan 2023 – Confirm final names of those attending
By 31st Mar 2023 – Confirm all agreed training (some Bronze Training will be covered in the Training Event) has been signed off in eDoE.
Although we appreciate that there will always be some last minute cancellations due to illness it is very difficult to ensure adequate leadership cover without accurate numbers well in advance.
