Wansbeck
Wansbeck Scout District incorporates eight Groups and two Explorer Units.
Wansbeck Scout District covers the areas of Ashington, Lynemouth, Newbiggin, Stakeford, Choppington and Bedlington. Each Group provides Beaver, Cub and Scout sections and provides a full programme of activities to achieve the award badges in each section.
Annual District events include a District Camp, St. George's Parade at Woodhorn Museum, a coastal night hike and sleepover plus walking, climbing and canoeing activities. Each Scout Group and Explorer Unit also has a full programme of outdoor activities during the year.
