STAFF WANTED!
Behind every great camp is a fantastic team of people who pull together to make that event happen. Almost everything on camp (excluding the weather!) happens because a team member has planned it, from the number of toilet rolls needed, to what time an activity takes place, to where in the field a tent is put, all of those decisions will have been made long before the participants even reach the site.
We are looking for people to join our teams to help ensure that the decisions made are the right ones for the participants to ensure they have the very best experience possible.
We are looking to recruit staff in three main areas, participants can join more than one team if they wish, you don't need any experience, (if you do have any specialist skills we'd be more than happy to make use of them!)
The Build Team
- Marra does not start the minute the first participant steps on site, Marra starts a few days before when deliveries start arriving in preparation for camp. Those deliveries whether they be tents, equipment, signage, site markers all need to be set up, connected, marked out so that by the time the campers arrive the world of Marra is already up an running. We are looking for people to join this team to ensure Marra is ready for the first arrivals, staff on this team would need to be avaible from the Tuesday/Wednesday before Marra opens to assist with the build.
Camp Staff
- By far the largest team we are looking to recruit for, we need people to put it simply - make everything at Marra happen. We are looking for people to man activities and crafts, work in our outlets selling tuck/souvenirs, join the catering team preparing and serving food in staff catering or our site services team keeping the site and its facilities running smoothly.
Take Down
- After Marra, everything needs to go back to normal - the site needs to go back to how it was before we arrived. We need a team to stay for a day or two after camp has finished to make sure everything is removed from the area so we get invited back for future Marras.
Two application forms will shortly appear on this page - one for Build/Take Down and another for camp staff.People are more than welcome to fill put themselves forward for more than one team if they wish.
