Top Award Presentation
Top Awards are available in each of our sections and every young person should aspire to achieve these awards.
Gaining the Chief Scout's Award is significant achievement for any Beaver Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Explorer Scout or Network Scout. It demonstrates that the young person has participated in a range of activities and projects geared towards their age.
There are a number of other awards that are presented at our celebration events and at times adult achievements are recognised too.
To celebrate their success each young person is invited, together with two guests, to a presentation where they will receive their Top Award Certificate during a prestigious ceremony.
The badge will be presented in the Group with the option for the leader to produce a local certificate with the recipients name showing.
Leaders - certificates are available on the Scout Brand Centre
Leaders who put forward names are automatically invited to attend the presentation but won't receive a formal invite.
Note: This form is to be filled out by leaders only.
To order Chief Scout Award badges for young people, please complete the form at this link. Young people submitted via this form will receive an invitation to the next presentation closer to the date.
The closing date to submit names for the April Presentation was Saturday 29th February. Any names submitted after this date will be added to the invite list for the September 2020 Presentation.
The Next Top Awards Presentation
Yesterday afternoon (Monday 16th March 2020), the Prime Minister stated that everyone in the UK should avoid non-essential travel and contact with others.
In response, Headquarters has made the decision that all face-to-face Scout meetings, activities and events must be suspended from today, Tuesday 17th March 2020. This suspension applies to young people and adults, and will be until further notice.
As a result, the next Top Awards Presentation, originally set for Saturday 25th April 2020, has been postponed.
