Each year the County Scout Council elects the County Executive Committee. The process starts with nominations from the County Scout Council then elections by postal ballot and the results announced at the County AGM. The Scout section for 14 - 18 Year olds is Explorers. Explorers taking scouting one step further, taking part in more adventurous and exciting activities.
Joining Explorer Scouts means you can take part in some or all of what we offer; a challenging programme, outdoor based adventures, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award,The Queen’s Scout Award, Young Leader Training or Explorer Belt.
There is also a training scheme that runs alongside, allowing various modules to be completed to achieve the Young Leader Belt which is achieved .
Explorer scouting is flexible and fits in around school, college and work commitments and your life!
The Young Leader Scheme which allows Explorers to work in a Scout Group and act as a supervised 'Young Leader' within a younger section providing real leadership and planning expertise.
