Newcastle East
Newcastle East Scout District incorporates nine Groups, an Explorer Unit
and a Scout Fellowship.
Newcastle East Scout District is effectively one half of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, its boundaries being the River Tyne as its natural southern extremity, eastwards to the boundary of North Tyneside, northwards up to Benton and the western boundary is the Central Motorway which splits the City into two. The area is essentially residential with areas of light industry.
Newcastle East has three Groups in Jesmond, two in High Heaton, two in Heaton, one in Walker and a Sea Scout Group in Walkerville. There is also a Scout Fellowship.
Newcastle East is a very active District with meetings held on all week nights.
