Marralympic Torch
Every Olympics or Olympic themed event needs and Olympic torch and Marralympics is no exception!
The Olympic torch is a widely recognised symbol of the Olympic Games with its origins going back to Ancient Greece, when a fire was kept burning throughout the games.
We would like as many groups as possible who are coming to camp to take part in our very own Massive Marralympics Flame Run
There are 3 easy steps so you can get all your Beavers, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts Guides, Explorers and Rangers involved;
1. Build your flame (see the instructions below)
2. Take a photo in great location around your Group meeting place or a local landmark eg. Tynemouth Priory, Alnwick castle, Newcastle Keep to name a few, be in uniform and smile
3. Send you photo to Trev at

To make the flame, cut flame shaped pieces form the paper and tape to the inside of the torch, starting with small pieces at the edge and getting bigger as you work in.
There you have your very own Marralympic torch, now find a landmark and get snapping!
