County Bell Boating (Multi Section - Cubs, Scouts & Explorers, Walt Swann) - 10th July
Thank you to all those Cubs, Scout and Explorer Bell Boaters who have entered teams for the Northumberland County Bell Boat race. The booking has now been confirmed with Newburn, but, for those who think they may have "missed the boat" I'm pleased to say that the the "ship hasn't yet sailed" and there are still some boat places left after adding another boat to the booking last week. We have 1 boat place available in the Cub section race, 2 in the Scout section and 3 in the Explorer section. It'll be a fantastic day, so why not be a part of it. Full details and an entry form can be found on the website by

. If your not taking part then please feel free to come along and cheer for our teams.
Medieval Marra'10 (All Sections, Richard Brown)
What a camp! I have really enjoyed planning and running this event with a fantastic team of leaders across Northumberland. I would like to say a big thank you to all the organising team and also all the staff and leaders who have helped in their own way before, during and after this event. We camped together with around 1400 others and we were joined by around 160 day visitors on Sunday, the biggest Marra yet! What will we plan next? Well the team are meeting to evaluate this camp in July and also to look at our plan for future years so watch this space. In the meantime why not come and join our facebook group where you will now see loads of pictures and comments from the weekend. You can view the group by

County Climbing Team and New Equipment (Cubs, Scouts & Explorers, Richard Brown)
We are very lucky in Northumberland County to have a highly skilled team of climbing instructors who can organise climbing activities for you and can also offer advice. Just before Medieval Marra the County invested in a brand new set of climbing equipment for the team which is now available for you to use along with the expertise of the climbing team. All the information you need to know to book an activity can be found in the
members only
area of the website. Just login and click on the members only button on the left and then Activities to find out more.
HQ Print Centre (All Sections, Richard Brown)
Have you used the HQ print centre yet? I had not used this resource until a few weeks before Medieval Marra and now find I am using it again and again. Once you login to Scouts.org.uk then you can click the print centre under your list of member services such as programmes on line etc. The print centre allows you to create documents with the new Scout Branding and then create PDF previews where you can save and print the file. You can also get the HQ print partner to print them for you if you do not have the facilities in your Group. It is certainly worth a visit even if it's only to create your own Scout logo with your Group name on in the new branding.
County Badge Weekend (Scout Section, Richard Brown)
