Tall Ships 10 Concert (All Sections, Chris Eldridge)
We are selling tickets for a concert that has been organised at RGS (Royal Grammar School). This is a Northumberland Scout Tall Ships contingent fundraising event and we need everyone to get on board to try and sell or buy tickets. We have 300 tickets to sell and need to sell a minimum of 115 before we start making a profit. The concert is on the 6th February starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Derek Belshaw, Northumberland Scouts County Office or direct from RGS. Please let me know how you are getting on so I can keep a record of numbers sold. County Bell Boating (Multi Section - Cubs, Scouts & Explorers)
The County Bell Boat Race will be held on 10th July 2010 at Newburn and will follow a similar format to last year. We would like to thank Walt Swann for agreeing to organise this for us again. Duke of Edinburgh Expedition - New Expedition Assessor Rules and Process (John Brittain)

Community Safety themed books (Beavers and Cubs) (Cubs, Helen Denton )
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and Northumbria Police have joined forces and produced these books. Plus, their is also ` Cyril the Community Safety Squirrel' for an event, or visit perhaps? World Scout Jamboree 2011 - Northumberland Unit (Scouts/Explorers, Paul Capstick)
We have had 80 young people apply for the Northumberland Unit going to the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden 2011. The selection weekend was held on 16th and 17th January at Moor House in Durham. Following this weekend a full unit conisting of 36 Scouts/Explorer Scouts have now been selected to form the Northumberland Unit. Medieval Marra'10 (All Sections, Richard Brown)
Planning continues for Medieval Marra 2010 and many activities and camp infrastructure has now been booked. We are expecting a high demand for this camp not only from Northumberland but across the region. Please remember that the camp is on a first come first served basis so I would like to remind all Northumberland groups to book in as early as possible. Once you have filled in the online booking form then you need to send a cheque into County Office to confirm your booking, without the cheque the booking is not confirmed. You must book in before the end of March 2010 to receive your discount although I would advise to book much earlier to guarentee a place. The planning team will be meeting again on Thursday 28th January and we will be setting an upper limit on numbers for the camp.
