County Office Move - Important News
During March our County Office at Four Lane Ends will be closed and our administration function moved to the West Fifteen building in Newcastle. This will bring together most of our services onto one site, County Administration, County Training and Project Northumberland. Job Vacancy - County Administrator
We are seeking to replace our retiring administrator; this role will be based at our expanded West Fifteen offices in the West of Newcastle. This is a full time role occasionally there will be a requirement to attend meetings in the evening for which time off in lieu will be given. County Bell Boating (Multi Section - Cubs, Scouts & Explorers, Richard Brown)
The County Bell Boat Race will be held on 10th July 2010 at Newburn and will follow a similar format to last year. We would like to thank Walt Swann for agreeing to organise this for us again. Malvern Challenge 2010 (Scouts and Explorer Scouts, Richard Brown)
The Malvern Challenge is an event taking place over the weekend 25th - 27th June 2010. The weekend comprises of a challenge hike plus many other activities and entertainment. For more information visit www.sr-mc.org .

Medieval Marra'10 (All Sections, Richard Brown)
This year we have produced a Medieval Marra merchandise catalogue which is now available for download on the Marra Website . Any money raised from this merchandise will be going towards the Tall Ships and Northumberland Jamboree Unit. For all the information on the camp and how to book visit our website by clicking here . The planning team are working hard to get all aspects of this event organised although we do still need lots of help running activities. Please fill in a staff form on our website if you would like to come along and help.
Chamboree 2010 (All Sections, Richard Brown)
Have you thought about attending the Cheshire Jamboree, Chamboree 2010? The Chamboree takes place 31st July - 07th August on the Cheshire Showground. I am attending the camp to run the Nottingham Sub Camp and the programme for the week looks superb. For more information take a look at www.chamboree2010.co.uk . I am also on the lookout to borrow/hire a trailer to take the sub camp equipment to this camp. If anyone is able to offer their trailer for the week (ideally a big box trailer) please can you drop me an email scouts@northumberlandscouts.org.uk .
MediEVO (Scout Network, Scott Feltham)
This is a long weekend activity camp solely for members of Scout Network and those Scouters aged 18 and above. The event has a full day time activity programme which this year includes archery, crate stacking, mountain biking, high ropes, climbing, abseiling, zip wire, crafts, Network Trek Cart race, team sports and Sub Camp competitions. There is also evening entertainment which includes silent disco, live band, karaoke and competitions. There will be a bar & catering facilities on site during the weekend.
