County News

Seasons Greetings from the CC

Christmas seems to have galloped up on us this year and, reading this e-news, it looks like 2012 will go just as fast. I know how busy this time can be but I'd like to ask that you do two things over the holiday period. First please take a few moments to remember those amongst us for whom this Christmas will be a difficult time - for a whole variety of reasons. Secondly, take time for yourself. Find a quiet corner, enjoy the peace and then for just a few moments reflect on the past year. You have achieved much and your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I wish you and your family a blessed, peaceful Christmas and a Happy (though busy!) New Year.

Gwyn McKenzie
County Commissioner

Beaver Scouts (Lynn Naisbitt)

County Beaver and Cub Fun Day.

A big Thank You to all who attended our County Funday in September. A big Thank You also goes to everyone who volunteered to run activities, your help was greatly appreciated.
The weather was really kind to us and I hope everyone enjoyed it. If you have any comments/complaints/suggestions for future events please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

Hallow'een Party
Thank you to Sarah Lang from Rock Beavers for inviting me to their hallow'een party which was also attended by Felton and Seahouses Beavers and Cubs. Everyone had a great time including me.

Please don't forget to let me have dates of meetings or activities and if I'm free I will attend.

I'd like to thank you all for your hard work and dedication to Scouting and send you and your families my very best wishes for Christmas and New Year.
