Leaders Skills Day & Beer Festival (All Sections)
Northumberland and Durham Scouts have joined together to plan a skills and activity day for our leaders and its open to all sections. It is being held at Moor House Activity Centre on Saturday 11th June 2011. This is a fun event followed by a social evening so dont miss out! For more details

Northumberland County Challenge (All Sections)
Northumberland County have set a challenge to get as many Beavers Cubs Scouts Explorers Network and Leaders to
'camp out'
over the weekend of 25th & 26th June 2011. (some disgression can be given in this our first year of the challenge) Should you have a camp organised for that weekend or one either side you can advise County Administration and be eligible to receive a County Camping Challeng Badge! This challenge will run year on year and a different badge will be produced each year for you to collect. More details will be published on the County website.

Beaver Scouts - 25 Year Celebrations (Lynn Naisbitt, Beavers)
I have now been in post a year but I am still yet to visit every District in the County. I am looking for invitations to meetings or events from all Districts and will do my best to attend as many as possible.
If you could please e-mail me a copy of the dates of all District Meetings and events I would be most grateful. I am looking to form a small team to help me organise Events and offer help and support to Leaders and groups around the County. If you are interested or would like more information please get in touch. Ideally I would like leaders from across the county.

Tag Rugby Festival
(Beavers)
The Beaver Scouts are holding a Tag Rugby Festival at Kingston Park in Newcastle. It will take place on either the 5th or 12th June (depending on its popularity) for more information

Cub Scouts (Michael Munro)
Congratulations to all the Cubs who received their Chief Scout's Silver Award at the recent presentation at the Discovery Museum. Leaders please dont forget to pass the names of Cubs who successfully complete their Silver Award to County Administration, detailed below, so that successful Cubs can be invited to the next presentation.
County Sanderson Flag (Cubs)
The competition will be held on Saturday 21st May at Brunton Park Scout Centre, Brunton Park in Gosforth. Reegistration 1:30 pm for a 2:00 pm stat. Finishing at 4:00 pm.
Chill Out Camp 08th - 10th April 2011
(Explorers)
A Camp planned by Explorer Scouts for Explorer Scouts. The weekend is designed to be a fun weekend with a mixture of activities and a chance to just relax and chill out. There will be a Chill out village with a Mongolian Yurt, Camp fire & BBQ area, Dance Tent & Non Alcoholic Cocktail Bar. Activities will include Water Sports, Climbing, Zorbing as well as a Wide game and Has Scouting got talent competition. Plus many more activities. Cost 20 pounds per person. Competing for the Neville Trotter Trophy A true challenge event taking you across Northumberland Scout County via a magnificent and challenging Route. Open to teams of Explorer Scouts, Network Scouts & Adults involved in Scouting This event builds Team Work as the team face activities such as - Abseiling, Archery, Climbing, Camp Master Chief, Canoeing, Camp Master Chief, MT Biking, Problem Solving, Rifle Shooting, Walking. Safe Swimming
As part of the ongoing review of all Scouting activities, the rules on swimming have been amended. The new, simplified arrangements will ensure that running such activities is easier for leaders.
